It has been a real pleasure to work with Tessa on several recent illustration and animation projects. Our timescales, demands and budgets were less than ideal, but Tessa delivered work that was ideal every time. We are looking forward to working with her again in early 2010 and beyond.

Howard Swift Director of Document Design, Bristol

It's always a pleasure to work with Tess, she has an infectious enthusiasm and her eye for composition, light and texture is excellent. She works quickly, accurately and professionally...I can't wait for the next time!

Nigel Davies Director [Freelance]for Aardman Animations, Bristol

I've always enjoyed working with Tessa. She's quick to understand what I'm after, shows great dedication and always produces work of the highest quality. I saw her eat a brain once.

Stefan Marjoram Director [Freelance]for Aardman Animations, Bristol

Over the past few years I have worked with Tessa on several productions at Animal Logic and Weta FX. Tessa brings a fantastic eye and sure judgment to her work, providing a great lead to her colleagues and relieving always nervous supervisors by solving difficult visual problems. Her abilities to pick up new technical skills and patient support of the people around her made her a key resource at the places we worked together. Some people are useful to have around, but Tessa is someone who raises show standards for talent and design. I look forward to working with her again.

Rick Sander Creative Director at Hoax Films, California,USA

As a Freelancer in Bristol, Tessa has worked on many commercials and Television productions at the main studios in the South West of the UK, Aardman Animations, A large Evil Corporation, 422 South, Hello Charlie to name a few.

Tessa will work to your budget (or production schedule), not everyone can do that. It is a skill that comes from having worked in a multitude of disciplines. Film, where time is taken to evaluated every aspect of an image, and refinement is key. Children's Television, where a certain standard quality is required, but there is limited time to achieve it. And commercials, where the importance of every aspect first needs to be evaluated before jumping in, avoiding expensive mistakes.

In 2012 Tessa moved to Vancouver, Canada and plans on taking some time out to look after her son born in 2011.

Tessa came to Animal Logic as a Lighting TD. Very soon she was able to pick up complex shot arrangements and was able to take on the position of Senior Lighting TD. Tessa is extremely competent (as the above shows). Her strengths include: Clear comunictaion (at both personal and team level), an abillity to understand client needs, flexibillity and the abillity to organise technically and logistically complex 3D in a compositing pipeline. Above all, Tessa is creative, aware, and has the requisit eye for detail and form that film production needs. I have no hesitation in recommending Tessa in either a Supervisory, Senior or Team based role and would suspect that she would be more than capable in any production environment. It was a pleasure to work with her, and would certainly do so again.

I had the pleasure to work with Tessa on 'Happy Feet'. Tessa was a valuable member of the team, producing quality work as well as problem solving. On top of that she also helped mentor new starters.

Julien Leveugle Compositing Supervisor, Animal Logic, Sydney, AU

Tessa is a top professional and it was a delightful to have her as a colleague on 'Happy Feet'. She created beautiful looking images for the film, but unfortunately for me they weren't on my sequences.

Richard Sandoval [was Sequence Lead, Animal Logic, Sydney, AU]

Tessa prides herself on being a natural teacher, mentoring young professionals and Students at Bournemouth University [The National Centre for Computer Animation]. In 2011 Tessa was asked to produce material for lectures and workshops in Lighting and presented these to both Bachelors and Masters Students at the University. As an expert in Lighting and Compositing, she has also taken the opportunity to write in depth articles for 3D world Magazine, and plans on writing more in the future.

Tessa recently mentored 10 of my students via a Lighting blog whilst they worked on their final Masters project. Her feedback, guidance and knowledge regarding the subject matter was excellent, showing a natural gift for teaching and knowledge transfer. Her comments were clear, concise, in-depth and pertinent to the students project; helping them to understand lighting best practise and theory within a production environment. Student feedback regarding Tessa's mentoring cycle was second to none; they were very appreciative of Tessa's input and help. It was a pleasure to work with Tessa and I hope she is available to repeat the mentoring next year.

Tessa is a very talented artist. Thanks to her technical and artistic skills she produced great shots during Happy Feet. It was a pleasure to work with her.

Xavier Bernasconi [was Sequence Lead, Animal Logic, Sydney, AU]
Now Lighting Supervisor at Lucasfilm ILM Singapore

I was Tessa's Lighting/Compositing cooridinator on Happy Feet at Animal Logic. Tessa was always good at communicating the status of her shots as well as hitting her deadlines when working on a tight schedule. She is detail oriented and willing to do what it takes to get the job done. It would be a pleasure to work with Tessa again in the future.
